Come funziona. I Worlds 2019 di League of Legends inizieranno il 2 ottobre con la fase preliminare di Play-In per poi proseguire tra Berlino e Madrid prima di terminare con a finale a Parigi il 10 novembre. Ventiquattro le squadre partecipanti di cui solo la metà sono già qualificate alla fase a gironi mentre le altre dodici dovranno affrontare il Play-In: solo le migliori avanzeranno alla fase successiva.
Il 23 settembre alle 16:00 ora italiana inizieranno i sorteggi per lo smistamento delle squadre nei vari gruppi. In base alla fascia d’appartenenza, determinata dal risultato ottenuto nella propria regione, dodici squadre saranno sorteggiate nei quattro gironi della fase principale e altre dodici saranno sorteggiate nei quattro del Play-In. Unici limiti:
- nello stesso girone non possono essere sorteggiate due squadre della stessa regione competitiva;
- nello stesso girone non possono essere sorteggiate due squadre della stessa fascia, fatta eccezione per la Seconda Fascia del Group Stage che ne avrà massimo due nello stesso girone.
